What it is: A map-based app/tool that aggregates public data on Calgary schools and daycares to explore proximity, quality indicators, and accessibility.
Why I built it: To visualize schools, daycares, and be able to compare collected information related to educational quality and program offerings.
Core focal areas:
- Geospatial data processing and visualization
- End-to-end research of public information and data related to Alberta/Calgary educational facilities
- Public data storytelling
- Interactive app-based components through database management and vibe coding
Status: Active, preview released (Access preview version)
What it is: A curated, interactive menu of research impact indicators to help researchers (and institutions) articulate the broader impact of their work, beyond traditional metrics.
My role: transforming baseline content into interactive, user-friendly application and validating underlying methodologies and data wherever possible.
Why we built it: To support impact case studies, evaluation efforts, and both academic and non-academic knowledge mobilization. Planned integration into a larger Research Impact Framework.
Core focal areas:
- Qualitative/quantitative indicator development
- Database management and interactivity
- Evaluation support and impact framework development
- Policy and institutional alignment
Status: Active, prototype (Access preview version)

AI Integration in Research
What it is: A set of experiments in applying AI tools across various use-cases for research administration and implementation.
Why I am doing it: To reduce friction and explore new possibilities for problem-solving in routine research administration and support functions, while maintaining a strong understanding of risks, data privacy, and ethical use.
Core focal areas:
- AI-assisted project development and management
- AI-assisted grant support
- Prompt engineering for non-technical users
- Workflow redesign and documentation
Status: Prototyping and exploration
What it is: A resource to support researchers adapting to new norms in grant writing – especially funder-required narrative CVs.
My role: led the development, design, writing, and conceptualization. Adapted from earlier efforts from the KI team.
Why we built it: To demystify narrative CV writing and help researchers craft coherent, compelling, and value-aligned proposals that showcase their most impactful contributions.
Core focal areas:
- Policy-informed guidance for broad audiences
- Research grant writing and support
- Integrating interdisciplinary thinking
- Design, layout, and dissemination
Status: Published (Access page), will be expanded to accommodate full Tri-Agency CV format
