Tri-Agency Narrative CV Guide

I am proud to showcase the Tri-Agency Narrative CV (TCV) Guide, a comprehensive digital resource designed to support researchers in navigating the transition to narrative formats. I lead the writing, design, and development of this platform, evolving it from earlier iterations to create a definitive tool for the research community.

The Guide is the culmination of deep engagement at the University of Calgary and beyond, incorporating insights from leading national webinars, hands-on workshops, and 1:1 consulting sessions. To bridge the gap between theory and application, I built a fully-integrated, curated AI chatbot assistant. This tool securely processes user inputs to help researchers articulate their impact in a supported, informed environment. I am excited to see this work empower users as they tackle one of the most significant changes in grant applications today.

Narrative CV Support

Recognizing the major shift in grant funding applications for all Canadian researchers, my work with the Knowledge to Impact team at the University of Calgary has been focused on supporting applicants with developing narrative CVs.

This includes publishing a Most Significant Contributions' Statement Guide, as well as a personal side project focused on judicious AI use to support researchers in developing their narrative CVs for applications.

'Youth in Pain' Project (SKIP)

Winner: Canadian Pain Association's 'Pain Awareness Award', 2024
Winner: Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) IHMA Inclusive Research Excellence Prize for Patient Engagement, 2025

From 2022-2024, I worked as a Knowledge Broker with Solutions for Kids in Pain (SKIP). During that time, I helped lead the "Youth in Pain" project. Funded by Health Canada’s Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP), the project’s overall aim was to share evidence-based solutions for the medical use of opioids to address short- and long-term pain in youth. Working with SKIP, I collaborated with a wide network of partners to drive transformative impact on this critical issue. We developed new resources, shared information, built capacity, and launched a narrative change campaign focused on the medical use of opioids for pain management in youth.

Vaccine Hesitancy Guide (vhguide.ca)

Responding directly to the challenges faced by primary care clinicians during the COVID-19 pandemic, I co-led the development of a supportive tool to support better clinical conversations about vaccines and vaccination. This project directly supported primary care clinicians during the pandemic, and was co-built and co-designed by our users from across Alberta.

This resource was featured in news media and publications across Canada, including an article by Dr. Myles Leslie, co-lead on the project, in The Conversation in 2021.
