An 'Alongsider' Approach
My qualitative research critically analyzes social and institutional contexts, enabling me to tackle complex challenges like health system resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a researcher and knowledge mobilization specialist, I collaborate across disciplines and boundaries of expertise. My "alongsider" approach integrates social science insights into practice, reflecting a commitment to mutual learning and practical understanding.
Innovative Solutions
My expertise includes designing and implementing user-led resources and tools, especially in healthcare settings. I was instrumental in innovating a pandemic preparedness simulation program for primary care during COVID-19. Additionally, as team lead for the Vaccine Hesitancy Guide (vhguide.ca), I oversaw its co-design and technical implementation, creating a resource directly informed by primary care clinicians. I also co-designed solutions with hospital staff to improve safety and processes during COVID-19 unit conversions.

My career trajectory highlights an appetite and capacity for growth and a continuous pursuit of novel opportunities. Whether coordinating million dollar federally-funded initiatives or supporting projects that earned recognition, like the Canadian Pain Society’s Pain Awareness Award, my focus remains on leveraging diverse skills to produce innovative outputs for research excellence, service quality improvement, and health system strengthening. I am passionate about translating complex evidence into actionable learnings for a wide array of audiences and partners, emphasizing the practical impact and societal benefit of collaborative research.
